Outside trial counsel does not require an all-or-nothing transfer. The engagement can be structured around the level of responsibility the particular matter requires.
Level 1
Defined Assignment
A specific issue, significant hearing, witness, evidentiary matter, phase of litigation, or portion of trial.
Level 3
Primary Trial Responsibility
Florida Trial Counsel assumes broader preparation and courtroom responsibility while the engaging attorney remains involved at the level defined for the matter.
Level 4
Sole Trial Counsel
Florida Trial Counsel assumes complete trial responsibility when appropriate and agreed.

It can also expand if preparation reveals that broader trial involvement would benefit the matter. Broader involvement can narrow as responsibilities are completed.
The engagement defines which responsibilities remain with the originating attorney and firm, which are shared, and which are assigned to Florida Trial Counsel.
